Deep Ellum Dallas Texas. Deep Ellum is a vibrant and eclectic neighborhood in Dallas, Texas, known for its rich cultural history, street art, live music scene, and unique shopping and dining experiences. Located just east of downtown Dallas, Deep Ellum has a character all its own, with a thriving arts community and a diverse mix of residents and visitors.
Originally founded as a center for the African American community in the late 19th century, Deep Ellum has a rich history that has influenced its character to this day. In the 1920s and 1930s, the neighborhood became a hub for jazz and blues music, with clubs and venues hosting some of the biggest names in music at the time. This legacy is still visible today, with live music venues like the historic Granada Theater and Trees hosting a range of local and national acts.

About Robert Bellomy
Robert is a self-taught, award-winning photographer whose passion for photography began in high school when he received his first camera as a Christmas gift. Specializing in landscape, outdoor, and sports photography, he enjoys sharing his images with family, friends, and on social media. His work has been published in local media and featured in a luxurious coffee table book sold throughout the Dallas Arts District. He has also earned numerous photography awards across Texas. After retiring from an enjoyable career at Southwest Airlines, Robert now loves traveling with his wife and capturing photographic memories of the beautiful places they visit around the country.
