Wild Flowers Texas Springtime. Ennis, Texas is known for its stunning display of bluebonnets and wildflowers every spring. The bluebonnet, which is the state flower of Texas, is a type of lupine that typically blooms from March through May. Ennis is home to over 40 miles of mapped wildflower trails that wind through the countryside, showcasing a variety of native flowers including Indian paintbrush, coreopsis, and phlox.

Each year, Ennis hosts the Bluebonnet Trails Festival, which celebrates the blooming of the bluebonnets with live music, food vendors, and arts and crafts. The festival also includes guided wildflower tours, photography workshops, and a classic car show.

Visitors can explore the wildflower trails on foot, bike, or car, and enjoy the picturesque scenery of rolling hills and open fields covered in vibrant hues of blue, red, and yellow.
