The Hotel del Coronado was first opened in 1888 and has been a favorite destination for celebrities, dignitaries, and travelers from around the world ever since. It is perhaps best known for its connection to Hollywood, having been featured in a number of movies, including "Some Like it Hot" starring Marilyn Monroe.
